An integrated approach for treatment and biomass resource recovery from juice industry wastewater using purple non-sulfur bacteria

Abstract. This study aims to treat juice industry wastewater and recover resources using purple non-sulfur bacteria (PNSB). Simulated was prepared used as a feedstock for PNSB. Carbon sources, including sucrose, fructose, glucose, tris-Na-citrate, were added different bottles separately inoculated with mixed culture of Tris-Na-citrate showed higher growth biomass production (650±70 mg/L) than the other carbon sources.
